Genius hour explanation
Good morning all! I just wanted to put this out there as many of you do not know what genius hour actually is. The funny thing I learned while researching this over the summer with Nikki is that it never looks the same from class to class.... In my class, it is 1 day out of the week where all students work on a passion project. Each child is responsible for researching, learning and sharing out about a topic they are interested in. It can be anything at all (as long as it is school appropriate When they were initially given the instructions they all had a really difficult time deciding on something. I showed them this video clip and it seemed to click. Now every student looks forward to our "20% time" and they are fully engaged during their class period.
